hello,
i am trying to find solutions to that encoding problem since 2 days, but nothing seems to work out well.
i now chose to go with tmpgenc, wich seems to be the best solution ...
here are the facts:
win 7
avid mc adrenalin 3.5
TMPGEnc Video Mastering Works 5
camera sony nex-7
resuslutions of cam:
avchd
1.920 x 1.080 (50p, 28 Mio., PS), 1.920 x 1.080 (50i, 24 Mio., FX), 1.920 x 1.080 (50i, 17 Mio., FH), 1.920 x 1.080 (25p, 24 Mio., FX), 1.920 x 1.080 (25p, 17 Mio., FH)
nobody has an idea?!?
would be great, as i am without a clue and have no idea of how to go about it ....
thanks for the effort!!!

The easiest way I've found to import AVCHD files into MC is to link them via AMA, then Transcode to DNxHD. I've tried transcoding, first, with Adobe Media Encoder, but, my audio ets corrupted by doing it via AMA.

am i right to guess that you don´t use mc 3.5? as i was checking for compatiblity with 3.5 and it does´nt support this plug-in ...
am i right?
Are you seeing problems on the monitor connected to the adrenaline or inside the MC UI?

the problem is not seen inside adrenalin ui, there it looks perfect, but it looks very bad at the monitor that is connected to avid ...
any ideas?
While it might sound weird... that can be normal. The UI video monitors do, by default, not show you both fields and depending on your UI video display quality settings (yellow/yellow, yellow/green, green/green) they will not show all video information.
The only reliable video display to judge if your comversions are ok is by using the HD-SDI or DVI output on your Adrenaline to a HD monitor.
If it looks good there you're ok.
yeah, this is something that i agree to, but the problem is that it doesn´t look good at the monitor. thats why have those questions ...
how can i preset the converter in a way that it looks good after the conversion.
any idea?
anybody?
First and of most importance, TMW 5 is only one of many encoding applications out there, to what codec have you transcoded your Avchd media and what settings was used ?
Tomas
thanks for the hint ... wich other encoder do exist wich work well?
i tried to convert into dnxhd, as the topic mentions ... i think it doesn´t matter wich settings i used, cause they were not satisfying.
what is the rigth workflow to get the propper results?
please answer only the question if you used or know how to use the combination of mc 3.5 adrenalin and tmpg5 and know the propper workflow!
everything else is timeconsuming and doesn´t bring results!!!
thanks!
seems to be not so easy to overcome the problem ... not anyone?
thanks,

Users with both MC 3,5 Adrenaline and TMW 5 at the same time might be considered rare .
Try Mpeg StreamClip.
