Exporting DVCPRO50 to any file type with Use Avid Codec checked, always produces a nasty line at the bottom of the video. It does not appear when I do not use Avid codec. Why does this happen?
Also, can you recommend a good software choice/workflow for compressing files and then DVD authoring?
Thanks.
'Use Avid codec' shifts dv resolutions by one line so that they match the upper/odd field dominance of every other codec.
Thank you.
Can I do anything to prevent the line appearing but still use Avid codec?
Obviously if the video goes on a TV it is cut off, but other files on websites etc it is still there. I would rather have the ability to stop it happening rather than cropping it.
Thanks
AFAIK that's the whole point of the 'use avid codec' option. I f you don't want that effect then you should leave it unchecked.
