Re: Surprised at how GOOD Avid Studio NLE is!!!!!

I did the trial, could not get past the lack of a source and record monitor structure. Perhaps, if it is allowed to continue, it may gain more professional attributes.

The developers positioned it more towards the consumer end of the scale. not quite the midrange product many were hoping for...not yet anyway.

Do Avid MC6 and Avid Studio have the recent Pixie file conflict that prevented MC from running on the same PC (I don't know whether it was Mac too) as Pinnacle Studio or Liquid, or has that been fixed?

    Core i7 930 PC 2.8GHz / 18GB RAM / Win10 Pro 64bit / nVidia Quadro K2200 (driver 411.95) / MC 2018.12.9 (Symphony/PF/SS) / BCC AVX 10.0.2 / NewBlue Titler... [view my complete system specs]

    Ken,

Actually that is no longer an issue with Studio and MC 6 as they dont use the same licensing scheme now.  MC 6 is on a new unified licensing scheme where as MC 5.5 used Pixie like Studio does.

    have at it :)

actually I see more....the effects side of it are more like Liquid ie 2d 3d editors and other filters plus DVD import etc, the editing is more like MC ie insert/overide modes and smart tool, ***the trim mode is really really good simliar to MC, also I really like the media management and noooooo transcoding!.....okay so theres no keyboard customization and no multicam but hey Im liking the key board short cuts and I dont use multicam that much anyway this is for my home use not my day job (which is editing TVCS on MC)

it's almost a nice even blend of both liquid and MC which is why I'm really liking this software. I'll be buying it today. it's a great package at awesome price! as I said the future of Avid Studio could be great!
