significant quality loss after import

Here's my situation: I need to edit a 30-minute PowerPoint presentation with an existing clip already in Avid. I screen captured the PowerPoint presentation to BlackMagic 8-bit 4:2:2 Quicktime. Import video problem

Everytime I try to import a movie file or place an Avid FX input on a video, when I open Avid FX it only shows a still picture of the video and does not play the video itself.
