Thunder freezes when importing .MOV Files

Everytime we try to import a .mov file it freezes up at 45.1 percent. The system and program are both still responding. We've tried several different clips and it stalls at the same point everytime. No Odd Even Field option in Quicktime Export

Does the scsi card have to be made by atto to work for Avid? The Tech said to get Atto, but those are around $400 - $500.
