I Had The Same Issue When I Put A Mini Dv Tape In My JVC Deck ( S-VHS-Mini DV ) Im Thinking That you Must Run The TApe In The Camera Or Device That It Was Captured On And Run Into Your System That Way The Signal Probably Wont Be HD But At Least You Get It Into Your Editor. I Hope That This Idea Is Useful...

ok, I found the easy solution: install the Avid QT Codecs LE1.9 from Avids website http://tinyurl.com/4srvgv I think the reason was the Vista OS together with v2.8 Best regards -Guy

Thank you all for your help. As it turns out it was pretty simple. I guess my nero has an encoding program so I just exported from Avid as a quick time reference (I had been sending the sequence to avid studio before duh!) and then i imported to nero and it worked fine. Yaay!

Anybody come across this problem. I'm trying to export a quicktime reference or a "same as source" quicktime file and all I get is a white screen. The footage is from P2 cards shot on a HVX200. I'm on MC 2.8.4 using a MacPro 3g Quad-Core using Quicktime 7.3.1. Any thoughts or suggestions...
