when i use the pip effect in 3d option i can not see the preview well - it shows me the shot very slow. i work with avid 4.5 express pro. what do you think the problem is? and how shouold i solve it? (i must say it suddenly happen) thank's alot for your help peleg

Sometimes when i try to playback video on a sequence the composer window blinks a silver bevel around the outside of the window and proceeds to only play the audio. Usually I just restart the program and it works fine. Does the computer just not have enought resources to playback the video?

Hi I seem unable to play HDV clip in Xpress Pro - starting playing slowing and then jumps between stills. Has anyone any ideas what trhe problem might be? Update to the above... I've installed a separate firewire card (SIIG 2-Port PCIe) and I'm still having the same problem. How can this be?? I've got a system that's in line with Avid's supported requirements but the deck appears to be drawing enough resources to slow the playback on...

Answers are below... Do you have video running all the time to the deck? I'm only connected to the deck when capturing or laying off. When I disconnect the deck or deselect "Output to DV Device", video plays normal in both source/record monitors. It's when I'm capturing or outputting...
