  • How to multigroup clips with audio that has no video

Hey Guys, I am working on a multigroup in Media Composer using auxiliary TC and I have 2 audio channels with no video that need to be in the multigroup. How can create a multigroup that will include these 2 audio layers? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! Adam

  • Question re: multicam approach

I'm about to edit a three-camera event recording. One camera is a flash-based camera and was able to record the entire show from back to front without stopping. The other two cameras, however, are tape based and had to switch tapes, resulting in a timeline of footage that looks like this: Is there...

  • Multicam with two AVCHD cameras and two HD tape cameras

In the past I've had all sorts of problems when I attempted to use full HD from two AVCHD cameras and full HD from two HD tape cameras in multicam. The multicams are an hour or more in length. The AVCHD cameras are Canon Vixia HFS100 and the tape are a Canon HV10 and a Canon XHA1. I plan to use Upshift...

  • 14 Cam shoot at DNxHD 145...

Hey all, So I'm just wondering how Unity would hold up with a 14 camera multi-cam edit with footage digitized at DNxHD 145? Would it be able to handle all 14 cameras? If not, what is the highest bit-rate that could be digitized to allow for all 14 cameras? Thanks folks! Cameron

  • MultiCamera Mode, Grouping and Audio Question

Hey there, So Im editing an interview, (2 cameras -A cam is the subject and B cam is the interviewer) on Media Composer V3 and I figured since the cameras are sync'd with time of day timecode it would be a good opportuntiy to use MultiCam mode. I made a group clip with my footage and it all hooked...

  • Has anyone successfully done a multicam using AVCHD material mixed with mini DV?

I am able to get AVCHD material into MC 3.5. It's a pain, but I can do it. HOWEVER, when I try to use AVCHD in multicam using a beginning point sync, the sync is quickly lost. I also have Premiere CS4; thus far, it has been able to maintain sync (though it is limited to 4 multicams and I would prefer...

  • Re: Native support for AVCHD

I bought a copy of Premiere Pro CS4 as a "front end" for MC3.5. I am trying to use several Canon Vixia HFS100 cameras as unattended angle views for a multicam edit. Premiere Pro seems to handle the AVCHD cameras OK, but it is limited to 4 multicam cameras. I have tried to use Premiere to export...

  • AAF Multicam Export / Import Bug

Hi All, I have discovered a really annoying bug and wondered if anyone has seen this or even better fixed it! When exporting a multicam grouped sequence (ie make a multicam group- edit a multicam sequence) export the sequence as an AAF, (linked to media shows this), re-import the AAF into a new project...

  • MultiCam -- Colored Tracks -- Multigroup

Ok i have two questions. 1. Is there a way to set each angle of a multicam shoot to be a different color? 2. While i was reading through the help to answer the first question I found multigrouping and I came up with this questions. Can I multigroup several sequences to make one long sequence? What I...

  • Re: Native support for AVCHD

[quote user="Sycophant"] I imagine that AVCHD support will arrive in time (perhaps AMA will help in that?) but it's a complex format and can be quite demanding on system resources. Also it's another of those not-really-a-format formats. Sony and Panasonic supposedly created the format...
