Been searching all over the net for a while now and thought I'd try the experts here. Does anybody know if it is possible to encode a quicktime to AVCHD format and 'write' that back to the camera? So that the camera becomes a HD deck for viewing edited AVCHD clips on a television.

Does anyone know why this is happening? Some of my video encodes fine - goes right through when I press squeeze. Where some of them don't. For example. If I try encoding a sample of a video in Mpeg 4 - it encodes it. But if I try to encode the whole thing (only 3 minutes) the encoding gets stuck...

Hi I am trying to export a quicktime and choosing the H264 option for the video codec - however despite it saying that AAC is supported here - www.avid.com/products/2065.htm - I do not seem to have the option to use this. You have selected the field order for output only. Since the field order of the encoded file is opposite to the flag written to the file, it won't help at all.
