  • Cineform AMA Bug Transcoding to DNXHD 7-7.0.3

Hello, 1) use link to AMA to bring in a CineForm encoded .mov file. 2) right click on file and select consolidate/transcode. 3) transcode to DNxHD 175 X MXF 4) observe the problem in the transcoded file - it should look like pink and grey snow. Leo

  • Re: DCP file format

You might look into our FinalDCP FREE Edition. Its very streamlined to create a DCP from AVID (or any other editor) fast and reliable. Just export a DNxHD mov file (use the best settings for quality reasons), preferably including audio if you have it already. Then drag and drop it onto FinalDCP reel...

Hi! I received files shot on a Phantom camera. They where converted in DPX format from a client. I'm using Avid MetaFuze to convert the media in MXF to edit in MC5.5. The RED and BLUE color channels are inverted. Can you help me? Thanks in advance P.S. Is the solution in MC5? Should I post this question...

  • Re: DNxHD, CineForm, HDV & 25p vs. 50i

Ok. But AMA was really *very* slow on my machine: I just created a very short QuickTime movie using CineForm 's Encoder and tried to link to that. a) CineForm is supposed to be a good codec for editing b) the QuickTime file was neither on an external drive nor on the system partition c) it's...

  • Timecode of media is changed on import to 01:00:00:00

When I import media into MC5 and it automatically converts to my offline codec of DNxHD 36 [or any other], MC resets the TC in the Start column to 01:00:00:00. My online clips, which were shot using the CineDeck in Cineform codec, have different TCs and it's imperative that when I produce an EDL...

  • Cinedeck transcoding for Avid offline.

I am editing a film which is about to shoot Thursday (19th Aug 2010), the DOP has insisted on using the new Cinedeck to capture media onto its SSD. After some research online, this is the workflow I have come up with and want to put it out there to see if anyone has had any experience with the Cinedeck...

  • Re: Workflow question re: After Effects, Cineform and AVID

I've been using Premiere CS4 for a project that has to be cut with CS4, and I have been trying to get from CS4 to AE, and back again, with the minimum amount of trouble. You're right in what you say about Cineform. I've been playing with the trial version. It's output is impressive. And...

  • Re: Improved AVCHD to Media Composer Workflow

I know this is an old post, but I have a question: I'm using the GH1 (GH13 hack) neoscene --> metafuze workflow; however, when I use media tool and pull the .mxf files in, the blacksand overall image looks washed out (contrast is low). I've been importing the converted neoscene files directly...
