I am running Avid Media Composer 2.7 and connecting a Sony DSR-25 via firewire. My computer recognizes new hardware, however, the avid is not reading a deck in capture mode. Might anyone have a suggestion? Thanks.

Using a qualified laptop, MC 3.05 will not see Sony DSR70 AP deck, despite Windows recognising the deck. Have checked buffers and deck config variations, but still no joy. If this were a consumer camera hot of the production line I would be more understanding, but this is a piece of Sony broadcast kit...

I have recently re installed my entire system. (windows... composer... ect.) Now I am trying to connect a DSR-11 to composer and I cannot get it to reconize that something is connected via firewire. I configure the deck but it continues to have italisized text and says that there is no deck. Mike
