Is there something like it in MC 3? DV scene extraction is very useful in organizing clips but It does not work with HDV clips/project. Any ideas or alternative? thanks!

As soon as the capturing begins the whole PC freezes. It happens after several clips have already been captured, editing has begun and titles have been added. I'm using a Sony GV-D1000 deck with fire wire. Once it freezes the only alternative is to hold down the PC power button. I would really appreciate...
