  • Bin with sequences won't open

We have two Avid MC Adrenalines here that both feed projects & media off of a Terrablock RAID. Last week I had to reformat one of the Avids. Everything works fine except that it now won't open larger bins... mainly ones that contain sequences... especially in HD. Smaller bins open just fine....

  • Keyboard Commands vs. Drag & Drop

A very usual complaint from newcomers is that they can't find an easy way to use their old Drag & Drop workflow in MC. The answer I usually give is, "Try and leave your old habits behind you and start learning the MC way - as soon as possible!" The use of keyboard shortcuts combined...

Experienced users of MC probably never give a second thought to such basic concepts. However Newcomers to Non Linear Editing in general and Migrants to MC in particular can have difficulty in understanding even simple procedures until they have understood these very basic concepts. • Track Height - all the same size

This is one of those things which seasoned editors would never even consider worth a tutorial, as it is such a simple thing. However Newcomers can find such simple things to be very important as they begin to learn MC from the ground up.. Regards, Douglas

  • Expanding Library of Media Composer Tutorials

I am a relative newcomer to Media Composer (early 2008) and as I began to feel my way around I got the idea of documenting my adventures by creating short video tutorials, Avid had already a large number of excellent, professionally produced tutorials online. I learned very much from watching them. However...

  • Media Composer - video problem

Hi! I just installed Media Composer 3.0 on my Sony pc computer that operates with Windows Vista. When I import quicktime video clips into Avid I have this problem: I can scroll through the video fine but when I play it there is audio but no video. The video does not need to be rendered and the video...
