Hi I've been editing a bunch of footage aquired on the EX1 at 1080p and 720p as they wanted to do some slow mo too. I've not had any problems or issues. I'm pretty sure I also ended up using a tiny bit of 1080i mixed in too. Should be fine.

You're welcome. Yep, there is a difference between 1080i/50 and 1080i/50 HDV. The first one is used with DVCPRO HD and other HD formats, the latter one is for use with HDV. You cannot output HDV to a client monitor. That is possible with DVCPRO HD and DV only. In order to use one via the camera set...

If you want to work with the HDV material (and not just the downconverted footage) create a new project with format 1080i/50 HDV - if you are shooting 50i which I just assume for the moment because you are using a Z1E model. The Z1E itself is switchable to 60i, if you would happen to shoot in that mode...
