  • AMA File export is changing original color

Hey guys, I'm trying to do an AMA export from a linked uncompressed 10 bit QT. The issue I'm having is that the color gets saturated and no longer looks the way it did in the time line. Why is avid crushing the blacks and saturating the colors when I try to export an mxf op 1a in a J2k compression...

  • Export Same as source 1x1 10bit lossless

I've run into a problem trying to export a file same as source. I import the uncrompressed quicktime at 1:1p 10 bit mxf. I make my edits and when I output same as source everything is fine except for the bit rate, which changes from 10 to 8 making the file undeliverable. Why isn't the same as...

  • Dropped Frames on HD 10bit playback with Avid MC 7 and Mojo DX

Hi, We're having issues playing out to HDCAM SR from Avid MC7 with a Mojo DX. With 10bit video, it is dropping frames. When we use an Aja IO Express, it works fine. We need 12ch of audio out so that's not an option. We're finding that the computer is actually reading 24Mbps from the disk...

  • Export DPX 10 bit

Hi, we have a brief to supply an advert for cinema distribution. One of the delivery specs is picture to be DPX 10 bit (1920x1080) Is there any way of exporting this file format from Avid (either MC or Symphony 6) using Metafuze possibly? I see that it imports DPX but can't see that it exports. Thanks

  • Software-Only vs. Hardware-driven In Regards to 10-Bit

I've noticed that the 10bit option in the video quality menu on my timeline is only available on the hardware-driven Avids at my office. (The ones running off Nitris boxes etc.) I have a few computers that are software-only Avids and was curious how they handle 10-bit, if at all? Do they peak at...

  • TIFF 16 bit - from AE, to MC, and then Resolve

Hi! i have a lot of CG sequences rendered out as TIFF 16 bit. I'd like to edit those in Media composer and then send my sequence with AAF. I am not that sure how to retain the bit depth from AE to davinci, I fear that going through export 10 bit with DNxHD would crush my depth or badify something...
