Could you check in console with command "ama_listplugins" what versions of sony plugin and mxf plugin is installed? Or post a screenshot? Or upload a small sample file?

Does the files open in quicktime? Or any other usual (windows-) mediaplayer? If yes, what does the file inspector says about the videocodec? Best regards, Kristina

:( ...I don´t really know what to say, can´t imagine that it is true, what I read here today. Although I didn´t know him personally, I felt that I know him somehow, because he always was around in nearly every single thread and tried to help everyone with such patience and kindness. It is not fair... RIP Larry.

Hi, is it possible to capture in PAL project? (You could use "open bin" afterwards to open the file in your current ntsc project) And regarding the resolution, that can´t be changed: Is there a txt-file in your media composer folder called disabledres.txt? http://avid.force.com/pkb/articles/en_US/troubleshooting/en263605?popup=true&NewLang

[/quote] Hi and welcome! I know from PDW-HD1500, that it is not possible to record mixed resolutions, unless it is turned on in setup (of PDW)

If they already have a XFile, maybe I would look for an own build "XFly" - just with different HDDs or a RAID system connected to the existing XFile... So just change the storage to get it more mobil ;) The whole XFly system is an additional investment you have to consider. Either you have an IPD on OB-van or the XFly Streamer Software with

Just for additional information: I tried ama with EVS files (Prores as mov), it works in general with MC. BUT multicam edit isn´t official supported with ama. Although it seems to work it gets sluggish. Not sure if this changed in MC6?! - still on good old working MC 5.5.3 ;)

But as always: If this hasn´t been tested before, run a test with a small file in EVS.mxf, Op1a and OpAtom and see what happens at your NLE. There are so many hardware configurations, softwareversions and workflow possibilities around, you can´t afford that it will work in all directions. Nothing is more "annoying" than recording
