• Re: SubCrap Tool - anchor point bug

Ok, I can make an educated guess as to what's on your short list. Unfortunately the list of issues and bugs is so long that we probably won't see any Symphony specific feature updates within the next couple of years. Symphony doesn't get the attention it needs these days, but perhaps that's intentional?

Hi BLKDOG The 4.0.3 read me has a list of about 36 pages with limitations and known issues. Would you mind sharing with the rest of us which show stopping bugs you're referring to? Best regards

  • Re: SubCap Tool: Anchor point bug resolved?

Hi EyeBee! I'm thoroughly convinced that someone at Avid is listening, but not at all surprised that you haven't got an answer yet. I hope I'm wrong, but the problem here could be that the bug is said to have been fixed way back in July, but since it isn't mentioned at all in the readme file from any of the last *FIVE* releases, chances

  • Re: why do we have to pay for upgrades / updates
If you're content with what you've got, then don't buy the upgrades.
...and if your software is plagued by crippling bugs, you should get these fixed without having to pay for it again. This much is common knowledge, except to bean counters and most marketing yahoos. Just a couple of years ago, there

  • Re: HDCAM SR 444 to 422 conversion

Hi Make sure that all TBC settings (video levels) are at their default position. Capture color bars from the SR tape, add these to your timeline and open the color correction tool. Check your Luminance and Vectorscope levels in the CC, and make sure that they correspond correctly to the color bars on tape (75% or 100% color). 444 to 422 conversion shouldn't

  • Nitris DX HDMI Audio Dropouts (3.5.4 - 3.5.9)

HDMI audio output has been very stable so far, but starting with ver 3.5.4 we've experienced random dropouts. During playback, the hdmi audio just goes silent for a few seconds, while the analog outputs aren't affected. This happens a couple of times a day. Internal or external ref doesn't seem to matter, and updating to ver 3.5.9 hasn't

  • Re: Avid Symphony v4.0.2 Released

V ersion 4.02 is *DEFINITELY NOT* what Symphony users wanted or expected !!! None of the new features listed seem to warrant a major version number change. This new release could very well have been numbered 3.6. Version 4 should have offered some improvements to Symphony-specific features, for example integrated CC masks, real time scopes or at the

Editdudes, you're not my client; you're a fellow editor with a problem, and you're coming here asking me to spend my time to help you for free. If you ask in a professional manner, I'll do the best I can to help you. If you write posts like the one you wrote on the 21st, I'm going to ignore you and help somebody else, because to

This forum is a place where Users get support from one another. However, Marianna is correct that this forum, in itself, is not an Avid support channel. This is a USER community. Correct. This is not Avid's OFFICIAL support channel. Most users however regard these forums as their best source of information regarding poblems with your products. You
Not sure why this was moved but " editdude" the moderators did NOT conveniently move this hoping Avid wouldnt notice. First Jef pinged me and I have sent this to QA for repro and then Larry Rubin escalated it officially. All the mod's work hard on their OWN time to moderate these forums. The forums are
