Michael: Okay, I've led you astray, I cannot locate any preference that allows you to control the path when trying to use the AMF folder on the OS volume in a location other than user/shared/MediaComposer. I think I was conflating that setting with the various "Cache" preferences. My apologies for my poor-advice. j

I should assume this only applies to NOT using a drive other than the OS (I wouldn't know 'coz I've only EVER used a non-OS drive), and that this behavior has more to do with Apple's lock-down of the boot volume -- so it's a work-around of sorts. You can have it whereever you want it to be, or multiple instances of as well. Maybe without a dedicated, assigned location, it 'might' default to where you found it, but it's best practice for it to not live on your main OS drive. If you do not have an second drive, you're welcome to create a new one whereever you want, such as in

Works on my end; using Timeline/Export/MXF OP1a (Apple ProRes 422 HQ, Direct Out-12channels). 'course, I only tested using linked video, and linked audio, not anything imported or mixed down

Jef: Works on my end. When you are rendering out of Resolve, are you rendering "Individual Clips," or "Single Clip?" IOW: On my end, rendering from a Resolve timeline, I'll get the TIMELINE's TC if using "Single Clip," but CLIP TC if I'm using "Individual Clips." j

In order for folks to better help you, you need to fill out your system profile, so at the very least we know what version of MC you are on, what computer/OS, etc..
