  • Re: Is Sorenson Squeeze really shutting down?

I can confirm there is a new installer on the download page "11.1 pro universal" and I could upgrade all of our Squeeze licences to this version. We got several 8.x, 8.5.x and 9.x. The "universal" version seems to be perpetual without an activation. If you have an installed version of squeeze (e.g. 8.x lite), the universal installer

  • Re: Need to take a step back to relink for a conform mistake

glad to hear you get it going. as a side note: shots with FS7 SLog XAVC-I should be 10Bit, so dnx115 is far too low in terms of color information. You should go with the X-Codecs (e.g. dnx185X) wich is 10Bit and to see the whole range use the timeline video quality button set to "green10". You could edit in dnx115, relink to AMA and send the

  • Re: Transcoding errors should not cancel entire transcode job.

You could do it as an BG transcode. If I remember right, BG is skipping the errored file and proceeds with the list. The good thing is, if you start the BG transcode, MC will create all the new master clips without a mediadrive assigned. So if it fails completly you could sort the files by name and then you see all clips already done, cause they have

  • Re: Importing AAF from one Avid to another Avid

Hi Roger, make sure to copy the MediaFiles-folder delivered with the aaf onto your MediaFile-Disk (be aware of the folder structure). Maybe there is a already a mdb/pmr inside, but I would say you have to scan it (let MC do the job). If you are in an ISIS/Nexis environment make sur you have the right naming for the folder, so your MC can see and scan

  • Re: MXF 23.976 to 24fps Project

It linked without problems, but not with the Canon Plugin. It is the standard MXF Plugin, cause from my point of view, this footage is standard XDCamHD50 as you can see in the BIN. However I had to set the plugin manual. Remember, I am on MC 2018.4! Hope this helps a bit. so long & thx dbiok

ok, i can see. This is an older version of MC, maybe that could be the problem. We are on 2018.4 with the latest plugins (xpmw-3-3-0-7-9l and rpmw-2-1-0-5-9l) and every canon file i tested is linking fine. With or without folder structure, but i only got the common canon files, like mp4 and MXF with XDCam, etc Could you provide a "unmodified"

  • Re: MXF 23.976 to 24fps Project

The autodetection of the correct AMA-Plugin is sometimes strange... If you do not have the folder structure anymore you should link the MXF directly in the source browser. When you open the source browser, navigate to the MXFs, i could swear, the detected plugin for MXF is in 90% of the time "AVID Generic". You could then right click on the

  • Re: Has Avid fixed the linking to Sony F-55 Raw files yet in the latest 2018 version?

How do you link them? Make sure to link the whole "magazine" not the files themself. I often get errors when I try to link only a single file out of the package, but never got any error, when I link the whole card. Just select the "XDROOT" (or whatever the root is called, cause I am not sure about the namingconvention of the F55

Windows10: controlpanel -> Apps -> scroll down to "nablet...." -> uninstall or if you are upgrading from an older MC version and therefore old Sony-Plugins controlpanel -> Apps -> scroll down to "Sony AMA...." -> uninstall This is just a standard software install/uninstall, as you will do it with every other software

Hi there, do you have the "nablet SONY RAW AMA Plugin" installed? You have to install this on your own. It will not be installed with MC. Every version below 4.5.3 is not combatible with the MC 2018.x releases. There is nothing to fix for AVID. This problem is on the Sony/nablet side! so long & thx dbiok
