  • Re: Multicam mode

Thanks. I thought I was doing this, but when I did it again it worked. Some kind of user error...:) Thanks, Brian

  • Multicam mode

Who knows how to do this? I've been playing with it, and it's not really working. I have two tracks (cameras) with jam-sync'd timecode and want to switch between them while they play, or watch them both simultaneously. I'm using Xpress Pro 5.8, OS 10.4.11, on a Power PC dual 2gb. Under "Special" I have checked Multicamera mode

  • Re: Digitizing across timecode breaks

Thanks Carl, Unfortunately no luck with the marking in and out points. If there is a timecode break inside the marks, it stops and aborts the whole batch capture. I'm seriously hoping there is a way to do this on Avid, I have a lot of tapes and at this rate I'll be here until next week on tape 1...:) How do people batch dig using cameras with

  • Digitizing across timecode breaks

Hi all, I'm trying to digitize a bunch of DVCPro 50 tapes shot using time-of-day timecode. I can't seem to get my Xpress Pro system to digitize across timecode breaks, it gets hung up looking for a pre-roll point. When it doesn't find it, I get an error message "Can't find pre-roll point" and it stops the whole system. I have

  • Re: Problems capturing using Panasonic AJ-HD1400

Ugh, I found it. If you have menu 0025 set to anything other than 59/60 or 50i/25P, then the 800's disappear. These menus are complicated...:) Thanks, B

Thanks a lot for jumping in on this. This must be it - though I have no idea what I'm missing with this menu, it even looks different than the one in the manual (I downloaded the manual online though, so it's not the one that came with the deck.) Anyway, time to rent another deck...:) Thanks, B

Thanks, Scott. I had just noticed this in the manual when I read your advice, that has to be it. Problem is, now that I check my deck I can't find the DIF menu. It says it's there in the manual, but on the deck there are no 800's on the menu, and nothing between 700 (Audio) and A00 (Menu.) Is it possible I have a deck that came out before

  • Problems capturing using Panasonic AJ-HD1400

I'm having trouble capturing DVCPro 50 tapes using a Panasonic AJ-HD1400. I'm on Avid Xpress Pro v 5.7.5, Mac OS 10.4.10, QT 7.2.0 and attempting to capture dv50 through 1394. Anyone have any suggestions? The capture tool sees timecode and I have deck control, but I'm getting no video and can't capture anything. When I hit capture I

  • Re: Outputting to HDV deck

Good question. I just checked to make sure. I've now tried it with two kinds of projects - one DV25, and one DV50. I'm trying to output to an HDV HVR-M10U. It's all set for HDV/DV input. B

  • Re: Outputting to HDV deck

huh? You mean CLIP>EXPORT TO DEVICE>HDV, right? If not where's "output?" Am I missing something? Under Clip>Export to Device>HDV, it won't let me select HDV. B
