  • Re: How to add a Master Clip to a Bin from a Sequence?

Thanks everyone for the feedback. I suppose it just struck me as something that should be easy to do in one or two steps. You're right Kevin, option 3 is the best bet, and I suppose the subclip option works too as long as the in point is cleared. This came up when an editor asked me how to do it, and as an assistant I like to be able to give a quick

  • How to add a Master Clip to a Bin from a Sequence?

Is there a quick(er) way to add a master clip to a bin from a sequence? In other words, I have this great music cue in a cut and I want to add it to the bin for later; how can I do this? [quote user="Job ter Burg"] Do NOT turn off AMA, and - if you're still editing - do NOT consolidate your sequences . Simply open your AMA volume bins, select all AMA master clips, then choose to consolidate those master clips onto local storage. Done. All your sequences (and synced clips) should link to these (now consolidated) sources

  • Moving AMA Volume project to normal Avid MediaFiles folder

I decided to use the AMA volume function and I'm regretting making that decision. I am wondering how I can transfer the footage that my project is referencing to the normal Avid MediaFiles folder that Avid usually references. The short film I am editing was shot on an Panasonic AG-HVX200P. All the data on the P2 cards was transferred to a harddrive
