hi guys. i'm needing to calibrate my video output luminance, but i don't have any controls available on the video output tool. i searched but couldn't find any solutions here or in Avid help files. according to the help, i should have controls listed under my "SD Cal" tab... instead it just says "Hardware uses Automatic Gain

you might try changing the sample rate in your project settings (project bin>Setings>Audio Project) to somethng else. depending on what kind of camera you're using, you might be able to set the sample rate in the camera to one that matches your options in Avid (32K, 44.1K, 48K). i'm guessing that the reason you got that error is that it

danshow, you don't list your system specs, but assuming that your system is capable of handleing live capture (memory, processor, memory, video card, did i mention memory?) you just need to capture via FW, either directly out of your camera or through a A/D media converter of some sort. i used to use the Sony DVMC-DA2 with my AXP system, prior to

i've been running this system now for about 9 months, using an analog Mojo to capture Component video, playback the same + S-Video, without any significant issues related to the hardware. i also use the onboard FW (IEEE1394) jack to capture DV footage from my Sony DVCAM Deck, with no problems. i do have a memory leak problem on this system that

i hope it is only a cable issue. but as i said, i would recommend swapping out the input & output cables to make sure it is isolated to the one cable. no point calling avid & waiting on hold unless it IS a defective cable. if it's the same with both cables, or if you are able to input/output Component video without any trouble, it probably

have you tried swapping out your Mojo cable for another one? i had a similar issue with my Mojo SDI right out of the box, when i first got it. finally figured out that the Chroma (red) strand of the cable was not working at all, thus the b/w video when in S-Video mode. i only nailed down the problem while checking the output on a monitor; Avid may not

Thanks, TC & Mike. it does look like a monitor sync issue, but sadly it is not. i checked the output on different monitors, always the same. as i mentioned, the Component output isn't working at all. i'm not under Support; i've never really seen the benefit of paying for hardware insurance with only an MC & Mojo... especially since

wow, i must be a whippersnapper! my only reel-to-reel experience was way, way back in pro audio... years before i got into video. by the time i got into video, my first project was cut on 2 Umatic 3/4"s using (i think) a Panasonic a/b controller... & let's not forget the "real-time effects," courtesy of the system TBC (strobe

hi all. today i finished a program & tried to Digital Cut back to tape... discovered i was getting no component output out of my mojo SDI (after troubleshooting)... so i restarted Mojo only to see the test bars go crazy when they appeared. here is a short .wmv of the Mojo output upon startup. the bars on screen are the test bars mojo outputs when
