hi there, i have an external Gtech, raid drive that i have been using for a media drive. it worked okay till it froze up. It is recognized by my computer, and i can use it fine on my pc. when i try to open avid with the media drive on and connected, it freezes. i read something about striped drives. Is this my problem if so, where can i find out how

some updates on my system and mc etc. I had all the way up to just before 3.5, now I think i have it all but the last patch. I am afraid to make any changes to the system. I took it in and two problems existed, which were fixed and now i am back on and editing. believe me I love this software,and changing at this stage would be a huge setback for many

Yes even now, july 2009, how do we fix this, who should we go to, as we cant go directly to avid, cause the support from my understanding is in the forums, so here we are without a fix??? Ever since I updated my software from media composer 2.7 to MC 3.0 and the patch, I have had nothing but trouble. I am now about to uninstall everyting, and install a new operating system and begin from scratch. I am not sure what the problem is, but it has crashed my whole system. It all seems to be fine. I did not remove anything of the above reg keys, and so far it is working fine. If i run into any problems in the future, i can always come back to this, but for now it apears to be working fine.

I dont' have another system, but i will get more into this tomorrow, and let you more information.
