at the present time I have the computer on the workbench in the shop without the avid drives attached. That may be why this error occurs. But, the computer keeps rebooting on it's own when media composer is open

It was called creative services. when the guys in news would restart the newscutter computers sometimes the workspaces do not connect on their own. Why would the letters change? I thought it was like any other link or mapping, that the projects folder was given 'M' and video was assigned 'N'.
