"... Perhaps whatever instructions were sent via PM could be posted here for others as well ..." Better yet, make it a Knowledge Base entry as well!
Don't know but it could be a "workaround"/hack to reset the trial-time if you don't have a dongle... g_f

Hi, sorry folks if I totally miss the topic but is it possible that we have a misunderstanding here? "Rendering" in AE often means "exporting", since you add items to the "Render Queue" in order to export them. "Rendering" in MC means that the software calculates effects in order to play them in real time. Iggy
I think that your assumption that the faulty drive caused all of your issues is pretty close to the mark.
Sometimes compromises are a good way to go, aren't they? So together we saved one hard drive, but you are certainly right up to the point that it's unsave to run hardware that might be faulty and on the
You could have a media drive on the way out. I'd replace drive G ASAP if I were you.
Marc, at least you should check the S.M.A.R.T. status of your disk. There are several free tools out there which can do just this and some HDD-vendors have their own utilities free to download. But in general it is important

Hi magus, just curious: do you also have a docking station for your m6400? If yes, there is an eSATA port on the back of the docking station, maybe you would want to try that one. At the moment my system is away and I can't test it but now I know that e.g. the ethernetport on the notebook will be disabled if it's docked on and you'll have
