• Re: bus and banner files for tutorial

Don't think it's turned off in the learning edition, But I don't think you'll find it unless you go into a container and switch to the effects select layout. A tracker needs two input anyway, so I guess you need to be in a container. //mike

  • Re: Global Chroma Control?

Hi, don't know if I have any answer to you at all, but since no one else seems to be barking in, I'll give a shot a it. Or at least to the "problematics" that can be involved. First of all, you can put a "colour correction effect" at the top-most, i.e SFX-level, which effects all the layers beneath. But there are some "but's"

  • Re: Stabilize

Jef or mrmikster, could you please shed some light onto when to use a tranform node in preference of the actual DVE's own transformation controls? Except for the obvious use of it as a multi-DVE transform controller. I feel I've missed out on something when it comes to dealing with this. In certain circumstances I've noticed a quality improvement

  • Re: Sometimes I got this error

Hmmm, never seen that specific error, but maybe Mr. Labrosse has? Here are a list of error codes: http://aviddssupport.avid.com/index.htm?section=documentation/error_codes.htm and 0xd62e5006 tranlates into "kLCerr_OS_Error"? My guess it that it would be some kind if "Operating System"-related error, or? I.e. in the sence of DS vs

  • Re: the best export/import settings

Regarding framesize I would export to whatever native size the project you are working is set for, I guess that would be 720x576 in PAL-land or 720x480 (or is it 486) for NTSC. This way the "TIFF-chunk" you have to transfer from the MCA to the DS will be smaller in size. Then for import in the "Capture Settings" dialogue you set

  • Re: Stabilize

Are you holding down Ctrl when you're positioning the tracker, ie. trackers? Because when you hold down Ctrl both the reference and layer trackers are positioned at the same point. My guess is that you're only moving the reference tracker to the point you want to be stable. I don't know which DS version you're on but check out "Using

  • Re: Import .TOD
you drive avid nitris???
No, not Nitris any more, but a xw8600 running DS v.10.1.2 and an AJA-BOB. Well, unfortunately it's always a slow and tedious process when you get files the DS can' t import directly. TMPGEnc Xpress can do batch encode, but you still have to code to a new fileformat and then import

  • Re: Import .TOD

TOD is a "type of" MPEG-2 file, and DS doesn't deal with any of them at all, so convert it/them to AVI, and import. I haven't got at TOD-file to try on, but you could try to change the extension of a file from TOD to MPG and see if your favourite MPEG-to-AVI-conversion program "swallows it". it might, but then again it might
