  • Re: Media not found

What is your folder hierarchy? Does it look like X:\Avid MediaFiles\MXF\1\(files) ? Yes, that's what it looks like.

  • Media not found

I have at least 2 drives internal drives, that I know have avid media files on them, however, when I view the drives from the media tool, the files are not there! I need to clear these drives out completely. I can see the files when i navigate to the MXF folder on the hard drive, but I know I shouldn't delete from there. What do I do? Thanks!

The video doesn't play on my comp. But I understand what Campbell is describing. Looks like that's what I'm gonna have to do. Thanks!

  • swap transition

I'm wondering if there is a transition in Avid that will create the effect of one video image swapping places with another. I don't mean a spin or push or wipe. Immediately after capturing a DV tape into Avid, my Avid froze and I had to force quit the program from the task window. However, when I opened the Project up again, the media that I had just captured was not in any of the bins. Is it possible that it ended up someplace where it can be easily retrieved and usable in my project, or will I have to capture

  • Timewarp Effect

When using the Timewarp Effect, is there a way to tell set an OUTpoint for the effect, so that if you change the speed of the clip from 100% to 1000% the clip ends where it originally ended, and you are not forced to re-establish your outpoint on the timeline? Thanks

  • mini-dv with NO TIMECODE

I need to capture footage from a mini dv tape that has no timecode attached to it. I tried capturing by selecting "V" "A1" and "A2" only, without "TC" selected in the capture window. I could see the video streaming into the Avid, but no audio. I checked the Audio Tool, and there were no levels. Capturing from
