What we are doing is, 1. Export MXF from Avid w/Caption File 2. Use Adobe Media Encoder to convert MXF to Pro Res 3. Import Caption Data from MXF into CaptionMaker 4. Add Newly converted ProRes to CaptionMaker and Save Data into QT. 5. Done and passes QC. An alternative to the above is: 1. On a Mac Avid, complete an Avid Mixdown into Pro Res 2. Export

I love Toast for Mac, it works perfectly, simple, lightweight, and no DVD menus. The difference is that air-display operates over wifi which means lag!, but Duet operates over the USB connection, so less-lag and reliable. Basically it's like a USB monitor now.

So here's a fun bug, I'm on an Avid MC w/Symphony 7.0.4 on Z820. I had a client give me a stack of 7HDCAM tapes that they needed xdcam 50 mxf op1a files made. I digitized them all in, and then selected each master clip individually and selected auto-sequence from the bin's fast menu. Great, it gave me a sequence with the correct start/end

Sorry for bringing back a crazy old thread, but, has any changes been made in the last 6 years that would allow me to do inserts without messing with the CC / Data track? My solution is just to insert the whole scene between the BROLL that doesn't contain the CC track which works. But would rather insert 2-3 seconds instead of 2-3 minutes of content
