You're right. I needed to export native mp4 xdcam ex from MC3 and I found out Avid doesn't do it. Considering that clip browser uses ffmpeg to unwrap the mp4 to MXF, i thought there must be a way to rewrap the MXF to mp4. That was the question.

At the end of any xdcam ex project, to obtain a master in native mp4, clip browser could rewrap the MXF OPAtom from MC back to mp4. Exactly the other way around clip browser does to creaye MXF OPAtom from mp4.

If I can create native xdcam ex mp4 files from avid, clip browser will do the rest. unfortunately avid doesn't do it. Using a main concept plug in for premiere for example, you can create mp4 files and the BPAV structure ready to be copied to SxS card and play it with the camera. A work around could be to export MXF OPAtom and than rewrap it to

xdcam ex native mp4 back from the application

I'm trying to figure out how to export my project back from media composer 3 natively in mp4. Cilp browser will create the BPAV structure to save it and play it with the camera, if needed, the down conversion as well.

export native XDCAM EX MP4 files back from Avid MC3

I'm trying to figure out how to export native xdcam ex mp4 files back from Avid after project is finished. This would be usefull for many reason as well to let clip browser 2 do the downconversion to DV which to me looks very good. I haven't found any setting in the application to do that. A work around could be to rewrap the Avid mxf file back
