hi hbrock thanks very much for that this link seems to be offering me axp 5.8 which i already have installed is it actually 5.8.3 ? but unclear on the upgrade page? i don't want to reinstall the same version.... thanks so much for your help on this :)

hi hbrock thanks for that i will try the 5.8.3 upgrade if i can find it... the error message is: "An error has occured: assertion failed: currTC.desc.frames_sec = = startDelayTC.desc.frames_sec File: /Snapshots/releng.relengintel3_1174007534/vobs/ppg/ MCtop/Projectfiles/../../Mediacomposer/Digitise/ ADigitizeCtl.c, Line: 1750" any other hints

HELP! Can't capture with Timecode from DV/HDV

Hi I'm running AXP 5.8 academic on a Dual 2GHz PowerPC G5. 2.5GB DDR SDRAM. Mac Os 10.4.11 I'm trying to capture DVCAM and HDV from a Sony Z1 camera using the inbuilt G5 firewire board for both input (via FW 400) and output (via FW 800) to a GTECH (mac formatted and partitioned) media drive I can capture both successfully with the TC button
