I'm trying to export a sequence out of MC 3.5.4 to a XDCAM device (PDW-U1) and get this error: ExportFileToXDCAM returns false because of [AsyncFileIOHelper::ReadStreamAsync async canceled operation error.] exceptionException: @ Mon Nov 16 14:54:45 2009 * Exception: XDCAM: Cleanup failed. Does anyone know what might be wrong? (Exporting 1920 x 1080

just import the proxies - take care on the disc labels. the edit your sequence. in the end move the sequence into an empty bin, select it and take "Clip -> Batch Import -> All clips". MC will ask you for the discs (that's why you should label them carefully). if everything works fine, you will have no problems ;)

had some problems with sorenson and the field order too. since that I use TMPGEnc. great results. give it a try. or: use "DeInterlace" in sorenson. you'll end up with a "progressiv" m2v - so no problems - but the quality might suffer a little bit.

I thought MC 4.0.2 has mixed framerates in one timeline??? can't you change your project settings or duplicate the sequence with a new framerate?
-
it will import as native XDCAM and you have to transcode it again. AFAIK there's no way MC automaticly transcodes the (batch-)imported clips.
-
what about a "batch import"? select the sequence with the missing media and choose CLIP -> Batch Import. at least works using the non-AMA-workflow.

hm.... I work with xdcam HD 422 - but I don't have a QT codec installed on my system. why do you think, the FCP files use this codec? "normaly" FCP clips use the ProRes codec....

I just tried to render some effects to create a QT ref clip. MC tells me that it's rendering the effects (1 of 12, 2 of 12, ...). after the effects get rendered they still appear with green / blue dots - just 1 of 12 effects shows as rendered (no dot). this happend to me in different projects. then: other effects just render fine.... I tried to

this command is no longer used. you can set the "resizetype" using the "Render Settings" (at least in MC)
