Here is a little render manager batch script for people looking to automate XML file processing. Save the script as mfmanager.bat in your MetaFuze directory. The script can be modified and expaned for network rendering use. The usage is MFMANAGER PATH where “path” is the full Windows path to the folder with MetaFuze XML files. The batch

I don't believe so. I just needed to do this myself the other day and could not figure out a way to do it. I did not consult the manual so you may want to read and see if there is a workaround.

I just had a thought. If you have two SATA drives in your computer, move a couple of R3D files to one drive and select the other drive as destination for MXF files and see if that runs any faster than your FW800.

I am not sure about the memory.

Are you using a burn-in? That can slow things down. If you look at this MetaFuze speed table a parameter configuration similar to what you're doing took 7.7 times the original running time. I haven't done much speed testing with FW800 so there are only several rows on the top of the table addressing this type of source. Firewire may be the culprit

This naming convention was adopted by RED last year to avoid creation of duplicate file names. The "proper" date portion of the .R3D file is still contained within the metadata so MetaFuze can read it and pass it onto Media Composer.

The devs are aware of the problem and it will be fixed in the next version of MetaFuze. Thanks for reporting it.

There is a video tutorial on this subject: http://community.avid.com/media/p/373740.aspx

I think you're correct in your assumptions. I don't know how Avid Crossconvert works because I typically use external standards converters but 30DF TC should match your 59.94i output timecode. The important thing to remember is that your overall timing does not change regardless of the frame rate. If the show is 1 hour long it will stay that

I am getting "invalid output compression" too. I am force converting a 23.98 fps clip to 25 in order to get the DNxHD 185 option. I don't have any 25 fps RED clips at hand.
