  • Cannot change Start TC (MC 3.1.3)

    I'm halfway through a project, and have been digitising my clips in FCP and then importing the quicktime into Avid as Avid doesn't recognise the camcorder I'm using for ingest as a device.     Oh, ok - thanks. I usually run either FCP or Avid when I'm running the machine at all. It never seems to happen when I'm in FCP so I thought there may be an Avid link. But then, I don't run FCP as often....

  • Loss of keyboard functionality

    Lately, when I've been importing and subclipping, I've experienced a complete loss of keyboard functionality on several occasions. This has been across OS X and has required a restart (the trackpad still functions), but only seems to happen when I'm using Avid (MC 3.2 I believe... I'm about to install 3.3). Does anyone have any ideas

    I personally welcome the software activation as a MBP user who uses it as a portable system, but I can certainly see how others would find the dongle essential for their work - and have signed. :)

    How about internationally (specifically, UK)? Is there an approximate cost that you can say for those of us considering it at a future point so that we can quote it to anyone wanting us to use Avid for their commercial project?

  • Crash in 3.1 when force autosave during expert render?

    At least I think that's what happened. I was rendering a reverse motion effect (from a project started in AXP), when the save bar came up. The effect hadn't finished rendering because my machine beeps at me when it's done - so I'm assuming the force autosave came in mid-render and caused the system to crash. Just reporting it/ checking

  • OSX dual mac boot (MC3 and FCP) - how?

    Hi, I've heard of people partitioning their MacBook Pro so that they could run the correct versions of quicktime and OS X to use both Media Composer and Final Cut Studio to their full functionality. Does anyone know how to do this? My MBP is brand new, and I have all OS installation disks etc.... but limited internet connectivity. I've found
