2600xt and 4670 on Vista x86, Vista x64 and Windows 7 fully working. Onboard Sound is working. But as usual, another soundcard (in my case it is an external Usb M-Audio piece o.s.) needs to be connected, but does not need to be the primary device. OpenGl? ... OpenGl Acceleration in Avid?! ^^ How did you get this to work?

I bet you do not have installed the SP1 for Vista ;) And it needs to be an original licensed version with all updates.

Ive got MC3 running perfectly on a - Phenom 9500 - Amd SB700 Mainboard (sound comes from the realtek onboard-chip, but there is a M-Audio Fasttrack USB connected. Otherwise Avid starts flaming about the "not compatible sound hardware" ^^) - Radeon HD 2600xt passive with two 24" screens from LG - 4Gigs @800 of G.Skill Ram - some Western

Any M-Audio sound-hardware will do or a simple Creative Labs Soundcard. But I have to correct something ;) Avid does not need any specific sound hardware... Just just needs specific Hardware to be connected, but it does not have to be used. I can connect my M-Audio Fasttrack USB to my computer and still use the Realtek onboard sound with Avid. Funny

Workstations with Avid support always have Xeon Boards with Intel chipsets (Ide, Sata!) and Texas Instruments Firewire. And if its not a Xeon Board, then it's still equipped with Intel chipset and Texas Instruments Firewire. Apart from that - There is nothing special about those Boards. But dont be surprised, Avid is not multithreaded yet. So dont wonder
