Hi Joe, I think the way Interplay works is not that different to your previous workflow. You can still put all your clips into bins named by tape as you're used to. But instead of putting the bins on a shared project server you just check the bins in to Interplay. If your editors now want to use these clips they will open the Interplay window, browse

If I drag and drop a queue out of iNEWS I can get the queue name and system name out of the dragged object. If I drag stories I am able to get the story ids and the queue name out of the dragged object but not the iNEWS system name. Does anyone know how to get the system name?

Some questions about importing and capturing material in a MultiRez environment. 1. If I import material from XDCAM using the Import dialog of NC, I can enter a disk label. I imported different resolutions using the same disk label and the media was associated. I assume the disk label is used to create the Source ID for the clips and the media files

There is no iNEWS inbuilt function to do this. But it is not that complicated to develop a client that presents the contents of a rundown and advances to the next story in the rundown. This could be triggered by the GPI output of the vision mixer for example. If you need such a custom made solution feel free to contact me.

Wich version of Interplay do you use? Before version 1.4. you could delete master clips and their media files from the orphan clips folder even if they were referenced by other avid assets in reserved folders.
