• Re: Holy crap Windows 7 worked!
As I've said many times, an unqualified system may work initially, but the real test is stability and reliability in the long run - no guarantees.
Very true. While my initial experience was pretty good, things are obviously not perfect or even close to right at this point. It's a good thing I have

Ok. Just rean into another snag here. I've been working with media that I've already had loaded so I never plugged in the MOJO SDI. Windows is asking for a digitally signed driver from AVID. It won't accept the old one for some reason. I have searched and no luck finding one if they even exist. Can someone point me in a direction here so

Hi Larry, Yeah I tried that. I even updatd the driver from DELL and am now using that instead of the Windows povided driver with the same good result but still no dice on the DAE. Luckily I don't use it that much. Dave

  • Re: Holy crap it worked!

So after some more goofing around with MC and Windows 7, I found one small issue. When I go to use the Audio Suite I get the following error message. "User privileges insufficient to start a low level driver." The of course the DAE failes to load. As I am the only person using this computer and am signed on with Admin privileges, I am a bit

  • Holy crap Windows 7 worked!

So my old OS was giving me some issues (not with MC) after I upgreaded an application so I took a chance and loaded Windows 7 Professional in its 64-bit version. I was about to pull the trigger on upgrading to MC4.0 this week instead of next month but decided to load 2.8.4 and see what happened. I'll be damn if it didn't just load right up.

  • Re: Is it now possible to run a Digi 002 with Composer?

The post facility that I am currenty working in has them hooked up to the MC stations here. They only work in standalone mode though. They are still using MC v3.5. I don't know if it's changed with V 4.0+. Dave

  • Re: Image tile repeater effect

Saphire also has an effect called WarpPerspective. It will do the same thing and also allow you to change the axis and a couple of other nifty things with the video layer. Dave

  • Re: Soft glow transition

The Saphire 3 effects package also has a "DissolveGlow" transition that you can just drop onto the cut. It's a nice one if you have the plugin. If not as stated, the BCC Glow effect can be ramped up with dissolves or keyframed from within the effect itself. You just have to add it to the next video layer above your transition point with

  • Re: "insufficient space on this drive" when capturing

In your capture tool, what drive does it say that you are capturing too? Did you have it set on your system drive by mistake? Just a thought. Also, the tool should tell you how much room is on the drive in hours, minutes, and seconds based upon the resolution your are loading your media at. I'd start there and see what drive you have targeted. Dave
