  • Re: importing/editing 5D mark II 30p footage

If I have understand, your problem is change the frame rate of the final sequence, but for me is totally unclear why you actually need go to FCP and to AE. What is your final product, tape, file, HD, SD, DVD or BD? Why you need go back to the original footage? DNX 220x is not satisfactory? If you explain better can be easier find some solutions. Galo

Hi Marc, put the media files in a RAID 0 array is not necessary a bad idea but you must be conscious that the probability of a failure is multiplied for the number of disc member of the RAID, this is the reason why I use RAID 0 only for files that I can recreate. • Re: mixing P2 and XDCAM EX?

Maybe I'm wrong, but I think that your problem is the kind of project, 24p 4 perf is a film project and it slow down the sample rate of the sound, try change to 48.000 the sample rate on the audio setting or open a new 23.97 project and see if the problem persist. Galo

  • Re: Avid won´t open, asks for disk

Probably you have deleted or moved one of the various folders named License files that Avid spam on your's hd during the installation process. Replace the folder in the original place or reinstall the application. Before installing I usually desconnect all hd and raid array that are not direcly involved in the installation of the application. Galo

  • Re: Avid Codecs not working with Adobe Media Encoder

Hi Thierry, I used sometime AME whith MC 3.0 generated Qick time ref without any problem. Check your Quick Time version maybe there is some conflict, the aproved for CS4 is 7.4.5, the same of MC 3.0 but different of the earlier MC versions. Galo

The only workaround that I know consist in put a tape on the deck and hit play/record when you start capture whith MC. Galo
