Transcoding or creating a video mixdowns works ; in fact you can render effects using the render effect button as long as there is only one video track implyed in the effect (Blend and key effect can't be rendered). The render menu entry will do nothing... Moreover, you can't export at all AVC-I sequences (creating a TGA sequence will display
