  • Standard def MXF on MC 2.2.7 ok?

I've been reading how MXF is the new file format over OMF, and of the advantages of MXF. In my MC Adrenaline 2.2.7 version help file, it says in the topic " Export Settings: QuickTime Compression "... " This format cannot be used by Meridien-based systems. " ... in the description for the following MXF formats. Avid 1:1x Avid

  • Re: DID_READER_SAMPLE_SIZE_INVALID

Found this thread while encountering my own DID_READER_SAMPLE_SIZE_INVALID error message. I found that the sequence would not play if I isolated Video Track 2 on playback. I took my sequence and subclipped it into two halves. One played, the other didn't. I took the one that didn't play and subclipped that into two halves. Eventaully I would

  • Re: I steered Avid wrong (lost Users and Projects folders)

Aha! So, on the initial screen to select my project, I used the User pulldown menu and navigated to the correct User folder and imported all the users (one at a time) and then pointed to the correct Projects folder and opened a project. Upon closing the Avid and reopening, it did stick to the last project area. Thanks! I also took the opportunity to

  • I steered Avid wrong (lost Users and Projects folders)

As I was editing with the Avid open, a producer came and asked if I can type Arabic characters to open caption a program. I changed some language settings in Control Panel and downloaded and installed an Arabic font. Probably has nothing to do with what happened, but this is what I was doing at the time of the problem. To install the font, I was prompted

  • Export bin log w/o handle, name as 3rd column

Software: a) Logging program which came with Avid v.2.2.7. b) Adobe Premiere 6 We have been using the Avid Log tool in a logging room to create bins for capture in our Avid rooms. The producers have asked if they can use the same bins to export a file for use in the Adobe Premiere system which the graphics artist uses. With some work, I've been

  • Superbin - List changed to Buttons

I opened the Superbin in my project this morning (Avid ver. 2.2.7) and instead of getting a list of the bins I could open, I got a series of horizonal buttons. I'll refer to as "Button" view. Unfortunately, this is not useful because the way I've labeled the bins (because the producer in this project refers to the media by the date

  • Dell 22" WS monitors

Let's start at the very beginning, cause it's a very nice place to start.... This is a very long post, because I wanted to detail what I tried, as much as I could before someone suggested, "Well, did you try this" or "Did you try that?". You might want to print this out and read it over lunch! There is a question at the very
