Hi Larry, I feel this is the equivelant of a UK Royal reception , such is my respect for you. Good to see you are still around. I miss working in a facility and not using Avid on a daily basis , I do freelance a bit so I keep my hand in. As one of the promos for Avid says ( roughly ) Avid is stil the main product for major films and shows. I've

Forscene is one of the things we are looking at but we have about 4 large clients who all want different things and the various software packages and bits of hardware would difficult to get to grips with both staffwise and financially. I used to use a syncro programme and you could set off a timed syncro so if it would allow you to syncro ip to ip and every few minutes , could you not just get a sync copy of the project or attic. I was in a similar position last year with a building restoration project. All the buildings were going to be restored over a period of between 10-14 days

I moved to a facilty that has FCP & Prem so I'm polar opposite. All I can say is moving to Avid is the best thing you could have done.

I know this isn't exactly what this thread is about but as you talked about best settings for import/export I was wondering is anyone has experienced this. We mainly use FCP here ( I miss working with Avids on a daily basis ) and we get a large amount of HQ QuickTimes exported from Avids. When we import them regardless of the settings the chroma
