  • Canon 24F HDV from XH-A1

I have raw footage that I shot on a Canon XH-A1 in 24F HDV with my mini-35 adapter. It's already been edited on a FCP system but I have the raw footage and would like to capture the raw footage for my own DP reel. I just upgraded my Avid DV Xpress Pro HD to Avid Media Composer so I'm not as familiar with my new Avid product. SInce I upgraded

I have DV Xpress Pro HD v.5.2.1 (not the latest). I need to captur footage (video and audio) from a DVD-R. It is not immediately clear how to do this or if it is even possible. Can someone please explain how to capture footage from a DVD-R? Thanks.

At this point in the process, what can I do to get my tape to appear as a drop frame tape (the way it actually is)? I've already logged 16 out of 18 minutes. Can I change the name of the tape and have it appear to dropped frame again (since it is)?

  • non-drop frame to drop frame

I use Avid DV Express Pro 5.2.1. I have a drop frame raw footage tape. I'm logging my tape to so I can batch capture when I'm done logging. When Avid automatically saves, I'm kicked out of capture mode for a few seconds. When It all comes back up, my tape is non-drop frame and I get an exception warning alerting me that I have a non-drop frame tape

  • I can't get DVD-R footage into my Avid.

I'm wondering if anyone can tell me the procedure for getting my raw footage from DVD-R into my Avid. Situation: I shot my footage on Beta SP originally (at my 9-5 job). I want to edit a different version of the final project on my home system so I put the entire 22 minutes onto a DVD-R because I don't have a Beta SP deck at home and I can't take one
