You're going to have issues with Bin Locks due to your connection type, and bin Version issues because of time discrepancies.

Avid 11 and Avid 1 seem to actually have the same name- Change Avid 11's name to Fred, and see if your issue goes away. JDS

There is no Optimize in ISIS- there is a full redistribution of files, however don't fiddle with this without being ON the phone with Avid. There are NO issues with lock files on ISIS connected clients (and very few On Unity) that are PC based. The issue is a pure Macintosh issue for y'all. And I bet those with this issue are prolly all within

Update to 4.2.3 at your earliest convenience, or 4.2.4 if you plan on ever attaching Windows 2003 server clients. 4.2.1 was not a fun build. The question about metadata, files are either there or not with a metadata problem- that would be a global issue, and you would prolly have obnoxiously high file and folder counts. What AV solution are you using

This is a really bad idea.

[quote user="Colby"] Well, that's good news I must say. Will the Isis support up to 30 10GigE clients and up to 20 GigE clients simultaneously? I'm going to have a number of off-line editors using Nitris DX at 145 hitting the Isis hard and pushing off their rendering and subtiting to an MC Soft station right next to them in the bay

There's no problem with Win2003 server- you simply don't use it. An Intel pro card WILL NOT WORK HERE. It's a lovely card, a wonderful card, I use it on all my ISIS Clients. It glitches the HELL out of a portserver pro. ALACRITECH ONLY ON PORTSERVER PRO's. Rip the Intel out, and use the right hardware and software.

What version of ISIS- And most importantly, has anyone modified the hosts file? JDS
