  • Re: Problems with export. The option to “Keep as” effectively expands to full RGB

My understanding is the the 'Keep as Legal range' doesnt change anything because Avid assumes all the media is legal in the first place (ie in Rec709 terms within the 16-235 range), So I would say you are doing the right thing. However, if you were to set it to 'Scale from legal to full' it still doesnt actually change the values of

  • Re: Avid crashing when playing thumbnails

So, the solution is to revert to Nvidia driver 353.82 and all is well again. It seems that it is a known issue because I found this KB article:- http://avid.force.com/pkb/articles/en_US/compatibility/Quadro-4000-and-Windows-10 MattB

So, rolling back to Nvidia Driver 853.82 did the trick, thanks for the pointer, Vilem. It seems that it is a known issue because I found this KB article:- http://avid.force.com/pkb/articles/en_US/compatibility/Quadro-4000-and-Windows-10 All I need to sort out now is how to get thumbnail previews for title mattes again! Same error for me too. I have a case open with support already. I believe my Nvidia 3D settings are set to maximum performance already, but I'll check later today. And Im going to try Vilem's suggestion to roll back the driver.. All later today when I can get back to the machine. MattB

  • Re: How I Do It - Deleting Project in a PC

Unless I have misunderstood step 5 is a bit of a problem. deleting clips and media from within avid via the media tool should make step 5 redundant. In addition, if you have other projects on the go you could inadvertantly delete media for those projects in the process. I second (or third) the MDV route because it allows you to identify and select media

  • Re: Avid or Nvidia issues?

Hi. I've been tied up on other projects, so haven't been paying attention to this as I should. My problem still persists, so far I have: updated to MC8.8.4 created new user profiles in new test projects performed a 'clean install' of the nvidia drivers Nothing so far has made a difference, MC still freezes if I try and play a thumbnail

Tomas - Sorry - I took a while to get to this (paying jobs!). I have done a clean install of the Nvidia drivers on edit 1 and it has made no difference. Do you think I should roll back to an earlier driver? MattB

  • Avid or Nvidia issues?

Im getting a few issues that I cant get to the bottom of and I can't work out where the issue lies. First - I used to be able to get thumbnail images for title mattes etc by highlighting and then presing the 'home' key - cant do it now, has that facility been removed? Second (and more annoying) Avid freezes if I try to play a thumbnail image
