If you have nested effects on a clip you can go into effect mode and double click them to open the nest. Very useful. You can then add effect inside the nest and see the total effect of all effects (easier and faster than stepping in and stepping out). However, you can't go into color correction mode, open the nest, and correct the source. The only

I have almost every key and shift+key on my keyboard mapped, and I need more. I'd like to be able to map each mode differently. That way I can have a layout for editing mode, another for my effects, and another for CC. I just don't have enough options to map everything I need. For example, V is insert edit. However, I'd like V to be the
Until then Butcher, there's the BBC Make Alpha effect. I outlined how to use it in this thread (in case you don't know). http://community.avid.com/forums/t/76316.aspx Ra-ey
Very interesting read there Ra-ey. I'll have to try it when I'm in front of the system tomorrow. I use Animatte all

We need to be able to promote Animatte to 3D so we can cut out/mask using Animatte, then move the entire shot, scale, rotate, etc... without our mask staying in the same place.
I just purchased a full Symphony Nitris with current software, XW8400 computer and, all the boards, etc. for $8,500.
That's an incredible deal! That's about the cost of a MojoDX, alone.

When MC4.0 is available for download as a 14-day trial I plan on installing it to check compatability with the analog Mojo. When it's available and I have a chance to run it through the paces I'll report my success (or failure).

Academic version is $295 with FOUR YEARS of free upgrades?!?!?! Avid is obviously serious about taking back the education market and getting their product into the hands of future editors. That's amazing news. It also looks like they lowered the price of MC from $2,495 USMSRP to $2,295 USMSRP. Blkdog, any idea on upgrade pricing yet from 3.x to
