Contact Avid support and explain it to them. Send them your serial number and explain where you bought it and the issue. They worked with me on the panel I bought on email and got my registartion set up. They were super helpful. http://avid.force.com/Support/RegistrationCaseCreation Michael
The owner should have informed of you of this. They can transfer the registration to your name.
I'm not even sure they knew you had to transfer ownership. But I've contacted the seller and I have a support ticket open that will hopefully be resolved soon. But like usatraveler said - why lock

I have a support ticket with Avid to resolve this, so this is a bit of a rant. I bought an Avid Artist Color off ebay and when I tried to download the EuControl 3.2.1 software I find that I have to register first. So I try to register, but the serial number is still tied to the previous owner. Is there really no way to register and download the software

It's fixed in 8.3? Awesome! Now we just need 8.3 to be released. Michael

Currently, in order to change any parameter of a clip in a bin you must click it with the mouse to make it editable. I propose that a new keyboard shortcut be introduced that automatically highlights the text in the first column in a bin (or the most recently changed column, which would be better). This feature would allow users to log entire bins of

That 4K release can't get here soon enough. I'm working with a ton of 4K footage now and it will be a godsend when I can create 4K proxies in Avid. Looking forward to testing out the new codecs and 4K options. I bought the support contract just so I can download the next release the minute it's available.

I just experienced this issue today. My experience is outlined below: ISSUE: I noticed that the bin containing the corrupted footage (DNxHD36 transcoded from AMA'd Alexa ProRes4444 clips) was taking a long time to open then save, and the size had ballooned to 27MB (was previously under 2MB). 3 clips in this bin had between 3 - 12 spanned markers
-
In addition to overlapping markers, I'd like to be able to select a group of clips in a bin and execute a "make subclips from spanned markers" command. I'd use it to pull individual takes from a long scene where the directors keeps resetting without shutting off the camera.

CURRENT BEHAVIOR: Markers (locators) applied to source clips are not migrated to group clips. You can load a group clip and match frame to the original source and see your markers there, but they do not carry into the group. I imagine this is because markers applied to a group clip float to all media in the group and are not locked to one media source
-
I ran some tests and the locators do not carry over at all. However, I discovered something interesting and useful - if you add a locator to V1 of a group clip and switch the video from CamA to CamB, the locators are still there. So apparently the source locators do not copy over because group clip locators operate differently and applied to the entire
