it's the H.264 codec that lightens your image. If you're using Sorenson Squeeze, adjust the brightness and contrast a tad and re-encode... it should take a few trial and errors, but you'll come up with the proper Brightness/Contrast settings... Klein

Depends... did you down convert to SD when capturing, or are you capturing in Native HDV? If you're working in SD then simply export a QT Reference and import into After effects. As for the Native HDV, there may be another way to do it. I would personally head on over to the After effects forum and ask those guys. www.adobe.com

A quick question here. I have a 540FX Nvidia card. It has an S-video output, DVI and VGA. Anyhow, I was wondering if it were possible to be able to Output video directly from my video card. For example, I want to use my normal monitor to have my timeline and source monitors etc... but I only want the timeline output to go to the 2nd monitor... like

A few months back I had to revert back to Avid 5.2 from 5.6.2 (I think that's what it was), because when capturing, no audio would come through. Capturing with a 3rd party software had no problems. So I reverted back to the 5.2 version and it worked fine again. Just wondering if in the newer updates this problem has been fixed. I miss my full screen

Just a shot in the dark here... but are you working in a PAL project and trying to make an NTSC dvd? That would definitely casue jagged edges on movement in your MPEG file. Klein

Check your settings in Photoshop... I bet you are working in a CMYK project and thus exporting a CMYK color space. Change it to RGB and then re-import into Avid. Klein
