  • Re: Need good still-image animation software suggestions

I like the copy and paste idea. Will try that. Also, I cannot seem to get P&Z to work at a steady constant speed. Obviously, I take out the "ease-in" and "ease-out" yet Avid seems to randomly choose weather the speed will be constant or not. In other words, even with the eases out, P&Z still seems to have subtle eases built

  • Need good still-image animation software suggestions

I need to do some simple panning and scanning around photos and still images. Avid Pan & Zoom is a bit too clunky and limited, but After Effects is the major learning curve nuclear option. Does anyone know of good middle ground, not so expensive still-image animation (camera stand) software that won't take forever to learn?

  • Upgrade questions from newbie

I currently have Xpress Pro 5.8.1 running on an imac 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, OS version 10.4.11, and want to upgrade to upgrade to Media Composer 3.5. I have several questions: -Do I need to uninstall Xpress Pro, first? And if so should I do it in OS 10.4.11 or wait until I upgrade to 10.5.6? How do I uninstall in 10.4.11? OR -Should I install Leopard

You know, I'm only a small cog in this wheel. QT was somehow corrupted in my computer -- and it seems like many others are having the problem. I honestly don't know where the version on my computer came from (Avid? Apple? Elves?). All I know is that everything was fine when I installed a QT directly from Apple. My only point is that these seems to be

Just curious -- since this seems to be a cronic problem -- did Avid ship a bad Quicktime 7? I had to download a new one from the Apple site. Old one (the 7.0.4 in my computer) kept quitting when I tried to reinstall.

  • DV Express application quits

DV Express application quits everytime I turn on an ilink device. This is new since I updated to 4.8.1. I'm using a clamshell (GV-D1000 and/or a DSR-PD170). In 4.6 I was able to get gv-d1000 to work by avid thinking it was a gv-d300. Now it just quits the application when I simply turn on these devises. Never happened before in OS 10.3./4.6. What's

  • Importing stills

What is the best way to import stills (JPEGS)? I'd like to do some motion control with them. Can I import higher that 72 dpi? Can Pro do it, or do I need something like aftereffects? Are there other good (easy to use) motion control programs? I appreciate any help.
