  • Re: Wacom still not fully fixed in 8.7

Hi Marriana, I also have this issue with the following system specs. MacOS 10.5.5 (Yosemite) Avid MC 8.8.0 (Symphony Option) Mac Pro (Mid 2010) 32 GB Wacom Intuos Pro (Medium) S/W Ver. 6.3.15-3 (Rolled back from 6.3.20-11) The pen essentially selects/highlights anything in its path, clip names, hamburger buttons, bin windows. If I''m not careful

  • Master Clip corruption - Missing Waveform on Right Channel

We have occurances of corrupted master clips that are missing one channel of waveform data, always the right channel, of a dual mono pair of audio. (We run in alternating L/R always, and all stereo clips are a pair of channels, left and right) These clips trigger this error message in the console when used in a timeline: Exception occurred during waveform

  • Re: Avid Symphony V6.0.1 Audio Mixdown omitting clips

Yes, we're using an ISIS. So far, we haven't noticed any other clips being dropped using the dummy clip work-around, but as you say, that's no guarantee we have everything.

  • Avid Symphony V6.0.1 Audio Mixdown omitting clips

We've been experiencing Audio Mixdowns that fail to include some clips. So far, these omitted clips are the first instance of a clip on a track. The track may vary, but, the render repeats the same omission every time. Also, there have been more than one track affected, in our cases, it is a pair of tracks (3&4 or 5&6) that are affected

  • Re: Skipped field1 / Double field2 on "stop" command.

If I may interject here... I first discovered the problem when doing fixes using insert edits. The deck was a M2000 and the project format was 1080i using DNxHD145. The field repeat we are experiencing is on the last frame of a video insert, which is indeed during a digital cut. The feature you mention explains why the system on stop displays only field

  • Re: Mixing Symphony vs Adrenaline HD in an Online Environment

Thanks for the link, FunkyD. We won't be using uncompressed media. DNxHD will be used for all elements. I appreciate the input!

  • Re: Mixing Symphony vs Adrenaline HD in an Online Environment

I see. So flattening of multi-layered efx (anim fills and mattes with DVE's applied for instance) wouldn't be necessary? That would be cool. I assume that the Symphony would be the system to print the final master from. Thanks again.

  • Re: Mixing Symphony vs Adrenaline HD in an Online Environment

Thanks for the comments, Terence. Using the Adrenalines as offline systems wouldn't be useful as we'll need all three systems working at full rez online all the time. There will be efx added at different stations, and the projects hop from station to station. My fear is that once effects are added, especially those built in Symphony, into the timeline

  • Mixing Symphony vs Adrenaline HD in an Online Environment

I'm looking for input from users on the best way to do the following: Asuming: a HD show using 3 workstations, all working with online HD media (compressed DNxHD) with effects up to 6 or 8 layers (including key layers). Workstations share the project and media files in a centralized SAN. There is no off-line in this workflow. Considering realtime effects
