Douglas, I'd go as far as sending you 2 shirts in trade for your DX. I'll put a couple of shirts in the mail to you and watch for the DX in a few days. So, this is apparently usual behavior and operator error instead of really being isolated to 4.02. I think it's important to put the answer in text in the thread in case the video isn't

I"m glad you've found the info helpful. As long as you can send the messages that MC expects for various functions, it should work. What I don't know is what all the messages are that the Digi 002 sends for the various functions. If someone with a Digi 002 could hook it up to a sequencer and record the data as keys are pressed, faders are

Tonight, I bought my first control surface. I won't say what model it is until later otherwise you might not read any further. I've really missed having a mixing console for my audio work, so I got it for use with Sonar. It took little time to set up and get working in Sonar so I did some rough mixes on several songs. It was so much easier than
can i run MC 3.0.5 or higher( upto 3.5.4) on windows 7
I can't tell you if the older versions will install or run without (or even with) changing compatibility settings but as long as you haven't deactivated your dongle, you can try running the older versions. I don't think there'll be any harm

I've not seen a need to use 3rd-party software for capture although I have used 3rd-party hardware for analog capture before I obtained a Mojo (the older analog model). MC's capture and media management are the best of any software I've used. Unless the 3rd-party software saved your media in a suitable format (using a compatible codec and

I can't say for sure but if you look at the demo video done last year with MC 3.0 and an 8-core computer and see how many effect layers are going on in realtime, I'd surely expect an increase with a Tesla. It's maybe not so easy to say how much more performance there would be. The fact that the graphics processor now handles more of the

As luck would have it, I have a lot of (recorded) vinyl and maybe a few hundred (punched) IBM/Hollerith punch cards from the "old" days. Oh, and I have an unused box of 8" floppy disks if anyone has a need for them. I think it would be easier to find a working keypunch machine and blank cards these days than it would be to find a working

The Avid-supplied driver may or may not be the right one for your system's configuration even though it works on the systems Avid tested. If I've understood you correctly, you do not have problems when you use one particular driver version. As I said earlier, why don't you just use the driver that works and forget the rest? In other words

You're right, Larry. I am very interested in that subject, not only because of my archiving activity but also because I've been in the electronics field in one way or another for about three decades. Thanks for the link.

Any format developed thus far has a limit to the length of time it can retain its data. Paper, (mylar) film, (mylar) magnetic tape, magnetic discs, optical discs, non-volatile memory - they all have to be stored and handled well to get any long-term storage out of them. Even when handled and stored under the best conditions, the data will start to be
