Apple is almost out of business seen from my point of view, letting them concentrate on phones and pads, all my Matrox devices, very similar to what you have, works great on Windows all OS
Premiere Pro uses GPU accelartion (CUDA) to playback media. Does Avid use GPU acceleration as well? Or only CPU to playback DNxHR media? Thank you,
Just install GPUz and take a look for yourself, on my own system I have up to 70 % GPU Usage ( as well as 40 - 80 % CPU usage ) when playing out unrendered

You´re welcome Denny , it´s about the same as when you capture tapes , SD or HDV , you almost never edit and render in that ( low ) quality .
I would have prefered linking and transcoding, but . . .
You can always transcode the fast imported media to a better codec , gives you better quality imho
like you said. if i load the 50p sequence into a 24p projects and go through all the shots one by one to check if they are ok and tweak the motion adaptor settings. will the result be good enough?
I would play it out through a DNxIQ letting it do the conversions, capturing , SDI or HDMI , could be done
Im getting the same issue on my 'Edit 1' system (see specs) - I have reported in another post. MattB
Hi Matt / Ryguy , and I saw that other post Matt. What happens if you do a fresh install of the Win 10 drivers provided by the Avid installer ( apps / avid / utilities / nvidia ) You might need to select

Just export to mov and change the extension to mp4

For best upscaling results, hopefully you have Boris or could use a trial license for this project only: 1. Capture using firewire , you will get the same DV codec as on the tape 2. Still in SD mode, add all that media to a single Sequense and do a transcode to 1:1 ( that is uncompressed SD ) and 48 khz audio 3. Now export a QT ref out from this Sequense
I needed to set the frame rate at 30i for the 32k option to show up on the dropdown menu.
FW capturing is just a plain transmission of bytes from the tape to Avid/mxf , you need to have the Avid setup configured exacly as the properties of the tape media, no conversion at all is done when you are fw capturing
