This might be something for the Roxio forum, we don´t create mp4 files before creating dvd projects, a QT ref is enough and works well
Oh yeah...The name of this thread is called AUDIO CARD PROBLEMS...NOT VIDEO CARD PROBLEMS
Oh well, with that language, I see it as Your problems ....
-
"multiple posts"?
Yes, will give you multiple answers Anyhow, I would start with trying a TI card, a cheap and fast solution if it works
For what it is worth, not even windows Movie Maker or other consumer editing programs see the cameras either. Of course under device manager windows says the 1394 ports are working fine.
Gateway doesn´t tell in their specs what type of firewire chips they are using, my guess would be that it is

Yes, i agree, you are editing with an application, not an OS About the language settings in Vista, the ones that I know of is situated in the taskbar to the lower right if you are using default settings.

Very good, the reason to ask is that it, during these last weeks, has shown up a couple of W7 users not telling that they are running on an uncertified sys, we have had to ask a lot of questions before getting that info out of them.
-
No, and what's worse is that I can't even find the keyboard settings on this bloody OS... Can anyone help?
It would be a lot easier to help if we knew what OS you actually are using, your profile is empty ...

Yes, of course, you can have it installed on as many computers as you like to, connect them to the net and deactivate the one you have been working with, open up another system and activate your Avid sys on that one. If you haven´t got Avid installed on a sys, you of course cannot deactivate it from inside of the app as there are no app installed

Worked like a charm Terry, thanks a lot, hopefully it will be my turn to help next time. I have a dvd to create now, will tell how it all works out, will run 4,03 on this one, knock on wood .. And to Avid, the main q still is there of course, how can the clip be treated as a progressive one by 4,03 ?
-
I took my time doing a little test this morning with some old rendered files out of AE CS3 used in old projects maybe 6 - 7 months ago, same behaviour in 4,03, makes it impossible for me to use 4,03 of course. Anyone like to reproduce ?? And, if I want to use 4,03 , how do I shut this auto thing off , of course there has to be a function for that in
