We are just wondering if there is an XML export feature now in Avid? I saw the threads from 2007 saying there wasn't. Has it changed? Thanks Bill

I go directly out from the computer to a 16 channel mixer and distribute from there. Is there another way??

Ok will try this the best I can from a notebook on the go and from memory Copying the project first was a good idea too. 1 Find all the media files and copy and paste them to the MXF file folder on the new drive. You can do that with media manager or by date in apple. AND 2 Copy project file. 3 Remove the DB files from the new drive media files. 4 Place

You can copy your project file and media files to the new hard drive, but make sure to remove the DB files from the media folder so the project will relink to media. Bill

Oh, one other suggestion I learned from Avid tech, it also help if you remove the DB files ( there are 2 of them) from the media once the media is imported into the new drive. That way the database will rebuild itself and link to the new media. Hope that makes sense. Bill

I just did a big project going from PC to mac and every worked fine. yes, use consolidate and it should work!

Not sure what is going on here. Can you try using a different Firewire cable? It could be as simple as a bad cable I guess? Never seen that error before.

Nate, I'm presently using the same deck and it's working fine. Can you capture using component out and Do you have a mojo you can use? Also, have you tried calling Sony? Something is not right. The deck plays the tape ok right, you get an output signal? Again make sure your deck is on when you boot up the computer. I've never seen that error
